You recently went to see a good play at a theatre, but you did not enjoy it because of some problems in the theatre.

Write a letter to the manager of the theatre. In your letter:

say which play you saw and when

describe the problems you experienced in the theatre

suggest what the manager should do

Dear sir,

I watched the play Hamlet written by William Shakespeare in your theatre, which was enacted on 25th of this month. I purchased an evening show ticket for myself to relax after having a long day, but to my disappointment, technical glitches were there throughout the act.

To start with, spotlight was always positioned at the wrong place, which left me perplexed most of the times as it was very difficult to make out who on the stage is actually speaking. To add injury to insult, the sound system was not functioning properly. Time and again, a buzzing sound was echoing in the hall which made it more arduous to understand.

I would suggest you make arrangements at the earliest to fix these problems with the spotlight, or hire a new technician to handle it. Also audio quality requires urgent attention. If possible upgrade or replace the present system so as to avoid further discomfort caused to the audience.

Hoping that you will see my suggestions in a positive light.

Yours truly,
