Dear Sir,

I am Herman Zuckumann and I am writing to you in regards to inquire about hiring a VIP suite in your hotel for a small family get together.  

My cousin in leaving for USA to pursue a Phd. course and we all intend to bid him a deserving farewell. To keep the affair manageable, I have invited only 15 guests. The party will take place between 1900 hrs and 2300 hrs as my cousin would leaving for the airport directly from the hotel itself.

Being a small family do, we have decided against serving alcoholic drinks and we would love to ne served Mock-tails and hot beverages. Besides this, as most of the guests to the party are vegetarian, it would be convenient to have a vegetarian buffet dinner for all the guests.  

It would be highly appreciated if you could provide me the price details of room rent, food, snacks and the drinks.

Dear sir,

I am Ravi Kulbhushan Sharma, resident of Bronx Park  and I am writing this letter to bring to your notice some facts about the damaged road in front of my house which is causing extreme inconvenience to me and other residents in this area.

The metalled road connecting our area to the main road was dug by the telephone department two months ago. Although the work was completed within a week of excavation, since then this trench has not been repaired properly. The department contractor just filled the trench with mud and rubble and shifted extra material. Now, the surface near the ditch has caved in due to recent showers. The RWA contacted the requisite authority but the officials told that the repair and maintenance of roads is the responsibility of municipal body of the area.

Hence, I have no other option but to approach you and request you to kindly look into this matter personally and arrange for necessary repairs.

We are waiting for compassionate response from your end.

You don't need to worry about finding a place to stay here as to make your stay comfortable in Delhi as you'd be staying with us.

I've some important advice to offer to you. As during January Delhi experiences cold weather, it would be quite convenient for you to bring along some warm clothes. Although Hamburg is colder than New Delhi, cold weather is still nasty, so I would suggest that you bring some woolen clothes, a jacket and woolen caps.

I'm fine and I hope you and your family are in good health. I have been busy all through these two months, and now I'm planning a vacation and I want you to join me.

The busy schedule at work exhausted me so much that I felt like taking some time off and travelling with my family to Marbella, Spain to escape the hectic routine and to relax and spend some time with my wife and children. Marbella is renowned for its beaches and water sports, and I feel a visit to this area would greatly help in rejuvenating ourselves and experience Spanish culture. I'm planning a ten day trip to this location.

I'd recommend that you also join us with your family, as it would give us an opportunity to enjoy holidays together and save some money also. My travel agent has agreed to offer special family discount for all of us.

This is in reference to the article that appeared in the last edition of your magazine “The Mirror”. This editorial carried a vivid coverage of the project involving the development of new techniques of harnessing power using the non conventional resources like solar energy. Although, the quality of article was good, and author “Mr. T. S. Chari” tried to cover all aspects of new techniques exhaustively, he committed some serious mistakes in describing the success of certain apparatus.

He pointed out that solar lanterns have proven to be a successful medium of lighting up the rural and remote areas, where electrification has yet not been completed. In this part, he has written that this device is being used extensively in the But, in reality, this apparatus has actually failed the test of time as it has proven to be inefficient. The government is planning to shelf this project.
