Ielts General Training Letter Informal Your friend would like to come and work in your country for 6 months

Your friend would like to come and work in your country for 6 months. Write a letter to him/her, in your letter

– Recommend a city where your friend could find work
– Suggest some jobs your friend could do
– Give your friend some ideas how to connect with the local community

Dear Amit,

I am quite happy to know that you are coming down to Toronto for 6 months with an objective of working here. I am extremely confident that you surely be able to strike it rich in a country like Canada that has a plethora of opportunities for highly skilled professionals like you

Toronto is currently the hub of IT sector and IT enabled services which makes it a potent ground for those who have the qualities to tap the opportunities, and with an M.Tech in information technology behind you, you will face  little challenge in landing an appropriate job with excellent compensation.

I have a suggestion, before boarding flight, you register yourself on an online portal popular in this city, so that once you land here, you will have some offers for interviews. I too will help you in this since I have some good friends in this industry.

I’ll make sure that you find an appropriate accommodation. Hoping to see you at Toronto airport soon.

Ielts General Training Letter - Informal Letter Write a letter to your friend inviting him/her to your family party

Write a letter to your friend inviting him/her to your family party. In your letter

– Explain why you are organizing the party.

– Describe what you are planning to do.

– Say how important it is to have your friend at the party.

Dear Rahul,

You’ll be happy to know that I’ve finally moved into my own house, and I’m throwing a housewarming party on the coming Saturday. You have to be there at this family do.  I’m not inviting many people except my cousins and close friends like you, and we haven’t met for the last one and half years since you were away to Canada.

The party will start at 7 p.m with drinks which you have to arrange for me and besides this, I’ve also arranged a DJ floor so that we could shake a leg together and recall our good old days. This will be followed by a lavish dinner with all the lip smacking dishes which I have ordered from the famous Khalsa restaurant of Radisson Blu. My family is quite excited not just because of the new house but also it will give us an opportunity to meet you and your family.

No excuses shall be entertained and you have to be there at any cost.

Your friend,

Major Singh

Ielts General Training Letters Letters to Editor Your local newspaper would like to have a new regular weekly feature on a subject of interest for readers.

Your local newspaper would like to have a new regular weekly feature on a subject of interest for readers. Readers are being encouraged to make suggestions sent in an e-mail to the newspaper.
Write a letter to the newspaper. In your letter:
  • Suggest a topic that you think would be popular.
  • Say why it would be of interest
  • Explain why it is more relevant/interesting than other topic

Dear Sir,
Being a keen reader of your esteemed publication, I was always interested in making some suggestions about including the environment protection in your list of topics to be presented in special weekly features. Now, as you are  inviting suggestions, I would like advice on including topics like 'Recycling' in your planned list.
I am very sure that with the current emphasis across the world on promoting recycling as a necessary practice in daily regime, people are becoming inclined on knowing more about this, but unfortunately few newspapers and magazines provide coverage on this issue.
If you could add this as a topic, that may include writing on methods  and required equipment for reporting, I am very sure that you would not only be fulfilling a necessary social obligation of informing people about improving their  surroundings but also satisfying their craving about knowing how to integrate this into their routine.
I hope that would consider my suggestion in positive light and include it in your agenda.
Thanking you
Yours sincerely

You are not happy with the course you are doing at college and would like to change to a different course
IELTS FORMAL LETTER

Dear Sir,
I am currently enrolled in a Chinese Language Weekend crash course being hosted by the college on weekends, but I am finding it extremely hard to cope with the classes since this language seems to be  a bit harder than I had thought. Even after attending first five classes I am at my wits end, and I feel that I could do better if I joined a regular evening course hosted Monday through Friday. I would like to know if I could be shifted to the weekly course.
I have found that the alphabets of this language are extremely difficult to comprehend, and due to weekend classes, I forget everything by the next class. My situation has become really uncompromising, and I feel that I may not be able to derive any benefits from this specific format course. Therefore, I request you to allow me shift to the regular weekly course.
I apologize for any inconvenience caused to the concerned staff. Looking forward to a compassionate response.
Thanking you,

Thanking you,
Yours Sincerely
