You recently saw an advertisement in a newspaper seeking volunteers to do unpaid work with local children. You are interested in this work. Write a letter to the head of the organisation. In your letter
– express your interest
– ask for details of the work that needs to be done
– let them know when you are available.
Dear Sir,
I stumbled upon an advertisement in the local daily that mentioned that you are looking for people to volunteer to help youngsters of our city. I am quite keen on associating myself with your establishment, for offering my contribution, in the form of work, for this noble task. I carry an extensive exposure in working with underprivileged children.
I have rendered my services in the field of education by delivering classes of language and fundamental mathematics to the poor juveniles. Besides this, I also carry an experience of training teenagers in skills to help them to gain employment once they turned into adults.
I am eager to know about what kind of endeavours your agency undertakes, and which areas do you afford support to the young ones. Being a student, I will be available for the period of two months, starting from 1st March to 1st May as there will be vacations at that time.
I hope that you would consider offering me a chance to work with you.
Thanking you
Yours sincerely
Mussolini
