You recently received a letter from a friend asking for advice about whether to go to college or to try to get a job. You think he/she should get a job.

Write a letter to this friend. In your letter

-say why he/she would not enjoy going to college

-explain why getting a job is a good idea for him/her

-suggest types of job that would be suitable for him/her

Dear Paul,

I hope this letter finds you in radiant health and the best of spirits. You mentioned your dilemma in the recent letter of choosing between a college or a job. I suggest you apply for a job since you have just completed your bachelors, it would be great to break the mundane.

The job will render you the hands-on-training experience, which would be of great afford when you enrol for higher studies. You want to pursue a master’s in business administration, which is quite an expensive course, thereby adding a financial liability to your parents. Furthermore, people usually join this course after gaining 4 or 5 years of experience, so you won’t be able to enjoy your college life as nobody will be of your age.

I’ll suggest you look for management profiles because this would help you in cracking the interview for your desired course and offer you a decent salary.

I hope my advice will help you to make your decision.

Your friend
