I am writing to you to request you to publish this sad news that annual city games, that usually features and promotes local amateur players, have been cancelled due to unforeseen reasons.

With a heavy heart, I must admit that everyone at our organization is feeling quite dejected, but as things have not been going our way this year, due to the top management not being able to arrive on a consensus on the dates of event since the money from sponsors seems to be have been delayed.

Everyone, including the locals keenly wait for this yearly carnival that offers a chance to local upcoming players in various athletic disciplines to not only showcase their talent but also win an entry into sponsoring clubs at national level.

But, as per communications received, our company plans to hold this event next year on a larger scale, and the dates would be released by the end of this year.

I hope you would oblige and publish this news in your local daily.

I am a Post Graduate in Retail Management, and carry an experience of over 11 years in retail store management. Over these years, I have honed my skills in preparing and applying strategies for profitable business of a sales location by adhering strictly to company norms.

I am currently working  as an Assistant Store Manager in Home Depot in Toronto: I am looking after business of two sections of the store: apparel  Men’s formals; and  Men’s Fashion made-ups and accessories. I am managing these two sections as individual profit centers: my responsibilities include sales promotion; merchandise ordering and floor management; and handling grievances of customers.  

I feel, if given an opportunity, I can prove my mettle at this position.

Dear Jinping,

I hope this letter finds in pink of health. I’m sorry for I couldn’t write to you after arriving back home: I got involved in some important work. I must also thank you for the wonderful experience I and my family had due to you in Beijing last month. The visit to monasteries and, especially Cantonese food joints was an incomparable  experience.

But, Cantonese food has also fetched me trouble, as my kids seem to have developed an addiction to this food, and now want that on their birthday, my wife must prepare Chinese noodles with Cabbage cream. I am writing to express dissatisfaction over the manner your organization has rendered me logistics services. Despite constant assurances of satisfying services, this instance has presented the image of your company in poor light.

I had booked a consignment from a vendor in Madras on 21 September 2017. At that time, your representative had promised me delivery at my address by 26 September 2017. But to my disappointment, the said goods are yet to reach Delhi.

On the top of that, when contacted, your customer care representatives said that it was misrouted to Ambala, and that it was due to my fault, as I had furnished the address of that city. On constant follow-ups, I somehow convinced them that it was an error at your end, but the matter is still in process.

It would be convenient enough if you intervened and delivered the goods back to the vendors, as I have cancelled the order now, and please do ensure that you refund the freight remitted by me.

Dear Mr. Whitalker,

I request you get some necessary repairs affected in the apartment  I have rented from you. There was a damage to the apartment in the squall last week. I have been trying to get through to you on phone, but was not able to connect.

There was a storm of cyclonic intensity, last week, that started with strong winds, and was followed by the rains. The ferocity of winds was strong enough to damage the window shed on the bedroom's main window, as it was hinged to the walls with help of mere four anchor bolts.

After the  shed gave away, the water started pouring in into the bedroom; thereby damaging the furniture in that room. Now, since it has rained  twice and it is becoming a menace.

I request you to get this repaired at the earliest, preferably within this week, and help me salvage my furniture.

I hope you would get the necessary repair affected at the earliest.

  Ielts General Training Letters - Hotel Accomodation

Dear Sir,

I am writing this letter to express my dissatisfaction over the services I received at your hotel during my stay here from 10 - 15 July 2017. It was not what I had expected from a hotel that charges Rs. 10000 per day.

           

When I checked into the room number 512, I discovered that the air-conditioning system was out of order due to the failure of air-handling unit installed in the room. I immediately informed the concerned staff and the manager about the  problem, but to my dismay, it was of no avail.

I ended up spending three nights without air-conditioning, that also in the extremely hot conditions of May. I wanted to complain to higher authorities, but I couldn’t do so, as I remained busy throughout the trip.

Henceforth, I feel that I should be compensated, for all the inconvenience caused, by being issued a refund.  

I hope you would refund all my lodging bills and I would not need to take the matter to higher authorities.

Dear Sir,

I am Joachim Drinkwater, staying on the University road, and I am writing this letter to you about a vacant, well furnished room in my house, at my home that I would like to rent out to a student at the university.

My house is located on the main road and at a walking distance from the Varsity, and has 2 floors and a terrace with an independent room set on the third floor. This room set is a new addition to premises, thus the construction is all new. It has its own kitchen and attached washroom. Besides this anyone renting out this room would have an independent access through the main stairs.

I would love to rent out this set to mature students, doing post graduation or a higher course, who are also doing some part time jobs, so that I do not have face problems in getting monthly lease on time.

I hope that you would list my property as a probable to-let premises for students.
